Hartley Knows I can write program has been developed to support the Victorian Curriculum from towards foundation to level 2 in English and Mathematics to develop accurate, automatic letter and numeral formation. The resources also support the development of literacy, language and writing skills, number and mathematics concepts of shapes, geometry and measurement.
The Hartley Knows How program has been designed to support the development of Critical and Creative Thinking, Ethical Capability and Personal and Social Capability in students from towards foundation to year 4 through interactive stories that support the development of meta-cognition, questioning, reasoning, expression and understanding of emotions, development of problem solving strategies to support improved resilience, communication, collaboration and relationship skills.

Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
The Hartley Knows Ready to Write and Hartley Knows How programs have been developed to be used in preschools with young children through play based and interactive story telling and preschool learning activities. Providing an effective way of introducing children to writing concepts, drawing of shapes, early literacy concepts, self-regulation and problem solving strategies to support the development of their sense of identity, connection with their community, sense of well-being, confidence in learning and improved effective communication.
